Same to you Cathy, it has been great following your adventures this year, in particular the Camino trail, and all your wonderful ideas for making our blogs more interesting. Wander. essence has been a breath of fresh air and a real success in my eyes. So much work has gone into your site and I hope you can continue with the invitations next year. Have a good one π·πππ

Thank you so much, Jude. Your sweet comment really made my day. You’re so kind to say my blog has been a great success because I don’t have many followers or many people who interact, so I really appreciate your participation, and I always love reading your posts. I’ll keep up with my invitations through the coming year because I’ve paid for two years (one is over now), but I may rethink what I’m doing when the blog comes up for renewal. It all can be quite time consuming, and I generally only post about 3x/week. I couldn’t imagine posting every day!

I’m surprised how few followers you have, given how good your posts are. I am not surprised how time consuming they are though given the detail you go in to. Maybe you could think about joining in with some of the photo challenges? I found that was a good way to meet like-minded bloggers. And posting single images is not as time consuming.

That’s nice of you to say, Jude, and I certainly have my ideas as to why I don’t have many followers. I have done photo challenges in the past with my other blogs, but they actually are time consuming as well and distract from my focus here. One certain reason is that I don’t often take the time to visit other people, and that is the quid pro quo I mentioned in an earlier comment. Sometimes I may do photo challenges, but only if they fit in with what my intentions and goals for this blog are. And I’ve never been one for single photo posts. I could do it, but I really don’t want to. I want to keep focused on what I’m trying to do, and eventually I’ll either drop it and move on, or just keep posting as a record of my own travels. I guess I’ll decide when my blog comes up for renewal. π

The main point is to enjoy what you are doing. I certainly enjoy reading your posts.

Thanks, Jude. I do enjoy blogging and keeping records of my travels, and planning them and everything about them! I enjoy reading your travel posts too! I’m sorry I’m not into gardening, because your photos are wonderful and your knowledge seemingly limitless! π

I can see that my gardening posts are probably very boring to someone who doesn’t do it. It wouldn’t do for us all to be the same. That’s why I like blogging and reading other blogs.

Yes, it’s great we all are different and have a wide range of passions. I used to garden and had great dreams of beautiful gardens, but it didn’t take long for me to tire of weeding with mosquitoes eating me alive in hot and humid Virginia summers. I do enjoy visiting a pretty garden though. π

I must admit the weeds and the slugs and snails get me down here. It is so damp that everything grows! Except the plants that get eaten π

I think I could bear it more if the climate here weren’t so humid and hot! It is hard work, but the garden you create is so worth all the effort. π

Heat and humidity are what I hate most. Which is why I will never visit the far east again, other than perhaps a short stopover in Singapore.

I have to live through it here in Virginia every summer. I really despised Singapore’s weather, as well as Thailand’s.

Your Posts make my day seem brighter as I see how you cope with your problems and how you overcome them. May next year be good to you and your family and may the troubles disappear. Your Camino walk should now be showing some fruition if the Gods are good and you certainly deserve it.
A very happy and healthy 2020 to you.

Awww, Mari, your comment is so sweet. It really makes my day. I hope my troubles disappear, but of course, I guess that’s an unrealistic expectation. Life will always have its ups and downs. At this moment, things are going very well, but I know not to count on anything; all I can do is hope for more of the same. Thank you for your good wishes. Happy holidays and may you have a joyous and wondrous new year. π
