I found the ceilings throughout Portugal to be quite elaborate and beautiful, so I thought I’d assemble some photos of them from my trips in 2013 and 2018.

βPHOTOGRAPHYβ INVITATION:Β I invite you to create a photography intention and then create a blog post for a place you have visited. Alternately, you can post a thematic post about a place, photos of whatever you discovered that set your heart afire. You can also do a thematic post of something you have found throughout all your travels: churches, doors, people reading, people hiking, mountains, patterns, all black & white, whatever!
In my case, my intention was to look for thematic possibilities during my trip to Portugal and I found the country’s ceilings quite elaborate and unique.
You probably have your own ideas about this, but in case youβd like some ideas, you can visit my page: photography inspiration.
I challenge you to post no more than 20-25 photos and to write less than 1,500 words about any travel-related photography intention you set for yourself. Include the link in the comments below by Wednesday, July 31 at 1:00 p.m. EST.Β When I write my post in response to this challenge on Thursday, August 1, Iβll include your links in that post.
This will be an ongoing invitation, every first, second, and third (& 5th, if there is one) Thursday of each month (Iβve now added the second Thursday). Feel free to jump in at any time. π
I hope youβll join in our community. I look forward to reading your posts!

So many beauties, Cathy! I’ve seen most of them but Monserrate is still on the list π π And Braga for a trip north some day! Gorgeous photos π You coping with the weather, or has it cooled a little?

I’m sure you’ve seen them and more, Jo. We missed Monserrate on this latest trip, but I sure enjoyed it the first time.
The weather here is miserable. It will be 91 today and near 100 tomorrow and for days after. Add the humidity to it and it’s no fun at all! π

Portugal is really a great place for travelling, I even could imagine to live there, but may be this is only a nice and fabulous daydream!? Will leave you a link here on 8 August for my Hemingway & Austria blogfeature, I already know the region and places very well where he stayed for two Winter seasons so no problem to finalize the post π₯ But also the nice Austrian mountains will require soon my full attention, summerfreshness starting next Friday ππ₯³ Bye, bye.

I agree, Ulli, that Portugal is a great place for traveling. I know how you feel with your dream of living there; I have shared that dream with my husband as well, although it’s doubtful we could afford it. I look forward to your Hemingway and Austria blog post. Enjoy those summerfresh Austrian mountains! π
